| Jason Smith brings over four years of multifamily real estate experience in the areas of investment sales, market research, property management, and financial analysis of income property. Jason has been a California licensed real estate professional since 2003. Over the past three years, Jason has served as a broker associate for NorCal Commercial Inc., a real estate brokerage firm specializing in the sale of apartment property in Northern California. As a co-founder of NorCal Commercial Inc., Jason has been instrumental in establishing the company as the number one apartment brokerage firm in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Jason has demonstrated his ability to handle and negotiate difficult real estate problems. In addition to marketing and selling apartment property, Jason managed escrows, negotiated business decisions, gathered and produced market research reports as well maintained the company website. Jason has been involved in the sale of more that $125 million dollars of Investment Real Estate. In addition to his brokerage experience, Jason established Smith Commercial Investments LLC, a private real estate investment company, specializing in owning and operating apartment property. Before teaming with Scott Gerber in selling investment real estate, Jason served as a property manager for AvalonBay Communities, the fourth largest REIT operating in the multifamily industry. Jason has also gained a rich background of financial and underwriting experience, including roles in a mortgage brokerage firm in Southern California. Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University in Pomona. He is a member of the California Apartment Association, the Income Property Marketing Group (IMPG) of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Business Association, and an active board member of Marin Income Property Association. In addition to his real estate background, Jason has immense computer systems skills and experience with ACT! Database Software, Dreamweaver, and MS Office programs.
